What documents do I need to have with me to speak to a financial counsellor?
To get the most out of your call to a financial counsellor, have the following with you if possible:
- All contracts for loans, such as mortgages and personal loans
- Service contracts, such as for mobile phone and Pay-TVAll current and overdue bills
- A list of the people you owe money to, and how much you owe
- Any letters you’ve received regarding your bills and debts
- Details of your income from all sources and your assets
- Details of any Centrelink payments or services you receive
